Today’s tendency says people need to be entertained, to feel identified, moved into their emotions and finally motivated to action. In other words, business is no longer buy and sale. A relationship has to be developed. Think about it, each consumer is been bombarded everywhere, all the time. The competition for that purchase decision is atrocious!. That makes the buyer to be more skeptical. And if all the offers are the same, where is magic? What is there for me? (as a consumer) beyond the offer price & quality. So, what does a brand needs to do on the networks? It is simple: Be different! 

For instance, a veterinarian publishing funny pictures of animals attracts more pet lovers, with funny notes, instead of using a cautionary note. The coffee shop that promise you’ll enjoy your favorite coffee on your brake, sells much more than the place that the one with “the best imported coffee”. The hardware store teaching solutions with short videos, is the one you’ll buy from, for your next project. So you see it? The key is providing an added value through Social Media. This can be done, with good humor, projecting an approachable personality or giving an answer without been ask. This is how social networks mounted your “fans” on a kayak and navigate the waters. It is a matter of content, and how is used on the network, reaching audience. Knowing the specifics of each network, frequency of publications, and the hour to be effective requires dedication. And is also time consuming and involves resources. That’s why our job as Social Media Administrators must be seen as a pair of hands gripping the oar, helping controls the direction of the kayak, to keep afloat marketing strategies, whether the waters be gentle or rough.
